  FIGURE ⁽¹⁾ :    underneath cloaks of magic they taught themself lies a half-decayed corpse that is their own. hidden beneath multiple spells seeped into every article of clothing they own, it must be touching it at all times. skin-tight bodysuits oft covered in hoodies, jeans, & sweatpants with the occasional pantsuit. additionally, their “true” form consists of red eyes & blue-grey skin, consistent with a frost giant (though they still haven’t figured this out—they just think it’s weird that their fingers sometimes turn blue!)  FIGURE ⁽²⁾ :    being the eldest daughter had its challenges. love was a scarce word within the walls of valaskjalf. daggers of trust thrown into backs as realms fall, gold taken while pain lingered through empty halls; echoing throughout the minds of its inhabitants… this godsforsaken place they call home had been destroyed far before it begun.  FIGURE ⁽³⁾ :    saving lives was something that hel was never taught. odin trained it to be a monster, and that’s what he got. corpses rot underneath the dirt. war-struck & tear-stained former inhabitants of realms that were overthrown & robbed of both their goods & lives. forgotten history was forced upon not only themself, but rots planet. its people. stolen princess deemed unworthy of the throne, of the palace, of freedom, & banished. caged like an animal. daylight ends with the beginning of darkness. decay & rot takes over & staggered off with what they so barely had; the grasp slipping so carelessly.  SUMMONING THE GODS :     hela odinsdottir, born (legitimately) to odin borson & an unnamed jötunn woman on march 24th, early 679 B.C.. brought back to asgard immediately after birth, where they “met” frigga for the first time. odin didn’t offer any sort of explanation nor consolation for his showing up with a blue newborn or his infidelity. frigga chose to move past it for the time being, scooping the nyfæddr up into her arms. there wasn’t exactly a time that hela left her mother’s arms, save for when she slept. as they grew, they initially were curious of their birth mother, but was told from both odin & frigga that their mother gave them up for a better life as asgard’s princess. from a young age, around eight (human years), odin began to “train” them. to help asgard, & to bring peace to the realms is what they were told, but they weren’t stupid. they knew they were a weapon to him, & that’s all they’d ever be.

between each training, both frigga & heimdall took to spoiling it. by the time they were 1641, hela & odin had claimed the nine realms for themselves. gold, treasures, & bloodshed. frigga had given birth to hela’s little brother, thor odinson, who, by all accounts, actually looked like both odin & frigga. hela & odin’s conquests had slowed to a stop, & before it knew it, there was yet another nyfæddr in the palace. this time, he looked like themself. they tried asking about it, but only to be shut out… hela began lashing out. trying to go on their own conquests. killing villagers. destroying bits of the palace. even going as far to once try to kill thor in his sleep. odin made the decision to banish them to the dungeons, but by that time, they had learned astral projection. they used that astral projection to spy on frigga, thor, & loki from the shadows, watching as they were taught how to fight or how to use magic. after it was done, they’d practice in their cell. it managed to break out once, & they made a run for it, only to be caught by heimdall & turned in to odin, who subsequently banished them to hel. he had no use for them anymore, so he covered it up. who’s hela? there’s never been anyone here by that name! there was no princess of asgard!a thousand years had gone by, locked in hel, deemed the goddess of death by odin. he thought that maybe it’d make them feel better about this… “predicament,” as he called it. it didn’t.aged 2695. odin’s dead. they didn’t get to see it, just as they didn’t know frigga had died until they’d fought their way to the palace, once again leaving a trail of blood in death’s wake.(the movie carries out as normal here, save for when surtur begins destroying asgard & they create a portal at the very last second, transporting them back to hel, where they live until they deem it “safe” enough to return. finding asgard destroyed, they rebuilt it. asgard is not a place, it’s a people. obviously, they are asgard now. cause fuck you that’s why i don’t gaf)
